All hardware is metal to ensure the toughest durability. Speaking of durability (and safety), we carefully chose the clasp for our leashes. We chose to go with a push gate snap hook, rather than the typical bolt snap.

Bolt snaps are known to weaken easily and allow the clip to open with only a small amount of pressure, which means your pup could get loose on a walk!
